Twas a very busy Summer, so much so I haven’t updated this site since May!! Well, here’s whats been going on…
Old Jack played at CMJ this past weekend at The Bowery Electric for The Outlaw Roadshow’s two day showcase. I’ve been filling in for Hugh on electric guitar for a few shows and this was by far our best performance. Great crowd for an early afternoon set and overall an awesome day of music. Two highlights for me were watching Kingsley Flood destroy the stage and seeing for the first time Kasey Anderson and Star Anna absolutely destroy me.
I’m mixing the new Parlour Bells EP in between shows. We’re calling it “Thank God for the Night” and it’s a collection of night-timy songs in our dark-pop style. We’ll be releasing it in early December so stay tuned. It was also a busy Summer for us with the “Airwaves” single release in June, playing the Paradise in Boston for the WFNX Tribute Show and an appearance on The Steve Katsos Show.
Lastly I played with both bands at Radio’s first Birthday party. Here’s a spot on recap from Jed Gottlieb of the Boston Herald.
After two sets of holding nothing back I was exhausted!
