My recent trip to Nashville was a huge success. It’s a city full of opportunity and promise which left me feeling inspired.
On Thursday, the organizer’s of The Outlaw Roadshow (Ryan Spaulding, Adam Duritz of Counting Crows and more) had a BBQ at the lush and historic, Riverwood Mansion for the 31 bands scheduled to perform. Outlaw friends and family gathered to celebrate the upcoming 2 day festival at the Mercy Lounge and High Watt. The Roadshow really is a family affair…a very, very talented family affair. It’s always great to see this rich group of musicians bring their best amongst their peers.
There was a video crew on hand as well to capture some acoustic performances which Dan Nicklin and I took a part in.
Here’s K Phillips performing inside the mansion.
My first of three sets started on Friday night at the High Watt with Parlour Bells.
On Saturday, I played a set with my solo band.
Followed by another set later that night with OldJack.
The schedule was loaded with amazing bands. Here’s what Saturday looked like.
To close out two nights of music, Sonic Cow Grunt a.k.a Counting Crows performed an acoustic set until almost 3 AM.
