Jed Gottlieb of the Boston Herald has been covering every night of the Rumble. Here’s what he had to say about our performance.
“Night five turned up the noise. Nate Leavitt Band turned down. He played his set: heart-slicing, soul-smashing, just damn, damn sad and bright diamonds of songs. When called for, he stepped on the pedal and soloed — oh, lordy, did he solo. But in the face of a Friday night, he strummed that acoustic slow and harmonized with Magen Tracy and Dan Nicklin. Speaking of Tracy and Nicklin, bonus points for her keys and his everything else. More bonus: They can sing, but Nate’s broken voice rose above them both.”
